Wooden Robot: Cubebot

Something smarter, faster, better – this is what we call a Robot! Now a get a designer robot in its wooden incarnation. Designer David Weeks at Areaware makes this cute toy robot “Cubetote”. This is eco-friendly for being no-use of rubber or plastic. Moreover no battery is required to move it. Actually it’s meant for age-group 12+, but I wanna play at least once!

Made of powerful hardwood and can hold many poses with legs, hands and head movements. You can see the elastic-band muscles! When it’s time for him to rest, Cubebot ($ 25) folds into a perfect cube.

Cubebot is inspired by the Japanese Shinto Kumi-ki puzzles, an outcome by joining ancient Japanese traditions with contemporary techno-toy culture. A classic art piece that will entertain young and old all alike!
