As good to taste as it looks! Definitely one favorite evening/party snack easy to make at home. This was just an experiments of stuffs leftover in my kitchen….so no source to refer. And the credit goes to…everything crispy I have tasted. Hehe!
Ingredients: Fresh corn seeds – ½ cup, Gram lentils – ¼ cup (soaked 4-5 hrs), Gram flour – 1 cup, Onion-1, Garlic, Curry leaves, Turmeric, Green chili- 2, Salt, water & oil to fry.
Method – Add in a bowl gram flour, corn seeds, soaked gram, salt, turmeric & curry leaves. Finely cut onion, chilies and garlic cloves; add in the same bowl. Pour little water and make a thick-consistency paste. Heat oil in a pan, put small amount of mixture at a time. When it’s half-done take out of oil. (It’s like balls). Flatten them quick and again deep fry in oil. In doing so it will remove excess oil and become crispy for being flat! Serve hot with any sauce you love!
That must make for a great, impromptu snack - lovely! Fried food is always comforting :D

ReplyDeleteYes, it's one amazing taste & we enjoy a lot!
Looking delish! Just 1 question: corn seeds, is that the stuff you make popcorn with? Or just ordinary 'cooked' corn kernels? Sorry, I'm not a native English speaker ;)
ReplyDeleteHi gnoegnoe, it's fresh corn seeds. Neither pre-cooked nor processed . You can take out seeds directly from a corn with the help of one knife! If any further question please feel free to ask. :)
