Saturday Sweet Bowl: Semiya Kheer

If you are tried spending hours preparing the main course, try this quick yummy desert and make happy all alike! Be it kids or kitty-friends! Whenever I try something new, want to make it tasty yet easy and quick. This Semiya Keer is a simple sweet dish made in just about 10 minutes. And I can feed my family whenever I want.

What we need- Readymade semiya (thinner noodles specially meant for sweets) - ½ cup, Milk – 2 cups, Sugar – 100 gm, Ghee/Butter – 2 tablespoon, Dry fruits – as you like.

Method- Dry fry the Semiya in ghee/butter till slightly brown. Add the dry fruits (I use chironji, it’s like small pistachio) and sauté for a minute. Pour milk and sugar. Let it boil for 4-5 minutes to bring into a uniform consistency. If you want add some condensed milk or fresh cream to make it richer & sweeter. Done! Enjoy it hot or store in refrigerator to consume later…will taste much like a melting ice-cream.
