Beautiful hair is the charm of our personality. Long or short, it looks gorgeous only when silky and thick! Regular stresses of everyday life spoil the shine and bounce of hair making it dull and lifeless. Along with good care we should also take the right food in order make it beautiful and healthy.
Right food- Voluminous, shiny and healthy hair is a mark of good heath. A balanced diet is necessary for our body and hair. Particular foods that are rich in iron are considered to be good for our hair. Most iron rich foods are green and leafy vegetables, beet root, carrot, broccoli, mint, coriander leaf. The best way is to have salads in your diet everyday. Also fruits are essential nutrient provider. Mostly, berries, grapes, and citrus fruits are good for hair as they are rich in anti-oxidants. Coconut and banana help in avoiding premature greying of hair.
Right care- If you want beautiful shinny hair, you have to take good care of it and treat your hair gently. Cleaning and conditioning is an important part of hair care routine. But massaging is another aspect of hair care which is neglected by many of us.
1-Massaging the scalp- Massaging the scalp helps improving the blood flow near the hair roots and strengthens hair. You can massage your scalp once a week. This is also the most effective treatment for hair loss. Take few spoons of hair oil, warm it slightly and gently massage with the help of your fingers all over your scalp in circular motion. Remember not to be too harsh while massaging. It may damage your hair.
2- Steaming- Steaming after massaging helps the oil to penetrate deep into the hair roots. You can do steaming at home. Make hot water in a big container. Take a towel and dip it in the hot water and squeeze it and wrap it around your hair. Leave it like this for 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat this process 4 to 5 times. After massage and steaming, wait for at least half an hour before washing.
3-Cleaning- Cleaning is the most important part of hair care routine. Use a right shampoo according to your hair type. If you have oily hair a cleansing shampoo with mint extract will be ideal. If you have dry hair, choose a moisturising shampoo. If your hair is too dry, dilute the shampoo in one cup of water before applying.
4- Conditioning- A moisturising conditioner is a must if you have dry hair. And if you have oily hair, use a conditioner that has low oil content. Otherwise it will make your hair more oily.
Most importantly, avoid stress. Stress causes hair fall and premature greying. Remember, the secret to healthy hair is a happy and healthy body.
